Caterpillar Hall
Hala Gąsienicowa is the most famous (northern) part of the Gąsienicowa Valley, which also contains, among others, the famous Gąsienicowe Ponds in the Dry Water Valley, the "Betlejemka" training base for Tatra mountaineers, research, observation, and measurement stations of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, a TPN forester's lodge, and the PTTK Murowaniec mountain hostel.
Kasprowy Wierch
Kasprowy Wierch is not particularly difficult to reach on foot. Steep, inaccessible rocks only form a certain section of the northern wall – the approach via the remaining slopes does not require great skill.
Trout Stream Valley
A comfortable, paved road runs through the valley, closed to normal car traffic – those who need to save their legs can cover part of the route by a Highlander's carriage. From the Rybi Potok Valley, you can go further to Rysy, Mięguszowiecka Przełęcz pod Chłopkiem, to the Valley of Five Ponds or along the so-called Ceprostrada to Szpiglasowy Wierch and Wrota Chałubińskiego.
Giewont
The most characteristic peak of the Polish Tatra Mountains, crowned with a 15-metre high iron cross. Not particularly high (1895 m a.s.l.) The Giewont ridge consists of 3 peaks – Wielki Giewont, Mały Giewont (1728 m) and Długi Giewont (1876 m) stretching over an area 2.7 kilometres long.
Red Peaks
Mostly covered in grass, the gentle, rounded ridges of the Red Peaks attract tourists and are not too strenuous a mountain trail. The name Red Peaks comes from the colouration of the slopes, due to the plant that grows here—*Juncus squarrosus*, which by the end of summer, takes on a beautiful, red colour.
Rysy
Anyone who wants to stand on the highest peak of the Polish Tatra Mountains should trudge from Morskie Oko along the red tourist trail to Rysy; every year Rysy experiences a real tourist siege. A majestic mountain, guaranteeing the most magnificent panoramas that can be admired in the Tatras.
Valley of the Five Lakes
Morskie Oko is a good starting point for a hike in the Tatra Mountains, as many tourist trails lead from it, including the blue one through Świstowa Czuba (1763m) and the yellow one through Szpiglasowa Pass (2114m) to the Valley of the Five Polish Lakes (1625-1900m approx).
Olczań-ski Ski Resort
Easy routes, designed for beginners and recreational intermediate riders. Naturally, on-site services include a few ski and snowboard schools, as well as equipment rental or professional preparation.
Rusiń-Ski
Most of the slopes have been given a blue rating – easy and good even for beginners – but there are also red sections, which are decidedly more challenging. A sports run with slalom poles has been set up on such a slope. There are 5 lifts operating on the slopes: a Baby Lift conveyor belt for learning children, two platter lifts, and two chairlifts: a four-seater and a six-seater, the latter with a cover against wind and precipitation.
Kotelnica Białczańska Ski Resort
Kotelnica Białczańska spreads across the slopes of three consecutive mountains, and moreover, it forms practically one unit with Kaniówka and Bania Ski & Fun – a single TatrySki pass is sufficient for skiing on the slopes of these three, as well as six relatively nearby ski resorts.
Kaniówka Ski
As part of Kaniówka, there are 4 ski routes, served by 5 ski lifts. The slopes are generally easy and beginner-friendly, and there is also a ski school. Experienced skiers looking for serious sporting challenges will likely feel like they are just warming up here.
GrapaSki Czarna Góra
A welcome change from snowboarding is offered by a suitably shaped snow tubing track. GrapaSki also has a ski kindergarten, equipment service and rental, and two catering outlets.
JurgówSki
Two of the four button lifts operate on easy slopes, typically tailored for beginners, measuring 120-210 metres in length. The other two button lifts run alongside longer (400-750 m) slopes that require some mastery and stamina.
Bania Ski & Fun
With the youngest winter sports enthusiasts in mind, Bania Ski & Fun is creating a special zone of attractions: Winter Village. It traditionally consists of an inflatable park, a giant igloo, a tyre carousel, a designated sledging slope, sun loungers, an indoor cinema, and a gaming arcade.
Bukowina Cultural Centre, Franciszek Ćwiżewicz People's House
In summer, the biggest draw is the "Sabałowe Bajania" held in August, which is a nationwide competition for folk storytellers, folk instrumentalists and singers, as well as a competition for the speech of wedding masters of ceremonies. The festival is accompanied by numerous exhibitions of the artistic achievements of folk artists, performances by amateur theatre groups, artistic open-air events, and tastings of regional dishes.
Church of St. Michael the Archangel
The historic Church of St. Michael the Archangel in Dębno is open to tourists only in groups. From the beginning of May to the end of October, on strictly defined days and hours, while outside the season, visits will be possible only by prior arrangement by telephone.
St Bartholomew the Apostle's Church in Niedzica
According to some sources, the first church was erected on this site at the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries, but that sanctuary - like the whole of Niedzica - was almost completely destroyed by fire as a result of the Tatar invasion in 1287. The new church of St. Bartholomew the Apostle was built of stone, in the Gothic style.
Sabała's Cottage
The oldest wooden highland cottage in all of Podhale. This historic, wooden house, built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries, is likely the only one in all of Podhale to be preserved in the old Silesian-Spisz style. The family home of Jan "Sabała" Krzeptowski still retains the atmosphere of bygone days.
Mountain Riding Centre
Definitely one of the most interesting places for lovers of relaxing in the saddle – including those who would like to begin their adventure with horse riding. Bukowiński GOJ is run by passionate individuals with the proper qualifications. They offer various lessons for beginners, trail rides and treks, various camps and equestrian exams, or corporate team-building events.
Tatry Rope Park
A sporty, typically summer attraction for the whole family – but there are interesting offers during winter too. The basis, however, are tracks full of various obstacles, suspended a good few metres above the ground. In Białka’s “Tatra Mountains”, 3 routes have been prepared: “Leśnych Ludków” for small children, the rather easy “Adventure”, and the difficult “Extreme” – as well as an 8-metre climbing wall.
